Shipment

What type of items can I ship?

How are the final charges determined?

When you enter your shipment details the charges shown are based on what you entered. If the actual weight or dimensions change or the origin and destination changes then the final charges may be more or less than you booked.

What is volumetric weight and how is it determined?

The volumetric weight of a shipment is a calculation that reflects the density of a package. A less dense item generally occupies more volume of space, in comparison to its actual weight. The volumetric or dimensional weight is calculated and compared with the actual weight for each piece in the shipment to ascertain which is greater; the higher weight is used to calculate the total shipment cost.

For express shipments the calculation is LxWxH /139 for US based shipments and LxWxH / 5000for metric based shipments

For air freight it is LxWxH / 166 for US based shipments and LxWxH / 6000 for metric based shipments.

Remember the higher of the actual or volumetric weight will be used to calculate the final charges.

Why do you need a picture of my shipment?

We need a picture for a few reasons. To ensure the freight is properly packed, for insurance reasons, and the most important to locate the freight if it gets misplaced. Pictures are uploaded when you book your shipment.
